Biltmore Estate

The Biltmore Estate is a historic chateau located in Asheville, North Carolina, United States. Built between 1889 - 1895 by George Vanderbilt, it is the largest privately owned estate in the United States and one of the most visited tourist destinations in the country. It encompasses 8,000 acres of grounds spanning over 250 rooms and 175,000 sq ft. The house is filled with fine and decorative arts from around the world, collected by the Vanderbilts, including an impressive collection of French furniture, historic paintings and other works of art. The estate also features an award-winning winery, beautiful gardens and landscapes, along with special events and activities year-round.
