Akchour Dam waterfalls

Akchour Dam waterfalls is located in Akchour, Morocco. Located in between Chefchaouen and Oualidine, the 60m tall Akchour Dam is a spectacular sight. The Akchour waterfalls are made of reed-blue water as it cascades through the limestone rock formations. The stunning scenery is framed by tall mountains and a lush green layer of vegetation. You can find several rivers running through the area, most of them originating from the Rif Mountains. Akchour Dam is a great place to spend a few hours exploring. There is a small café and restaurant at the bottom, as well as guided tours up the valley. For nature lovers there are many hiking trails to explore with breathtaking views.
