Uvala Borovica

Tuscumbia Alabama is a charming city in north-central Alabama, just north of Muscle Shoals. The city, with a population of over 7,000 residents, was founded in the early 1800s by Daniel Cole. It is home to numerous historic locations and beautiful landscapes.

Most notably, Tuscumbia features the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and the Helen Keller Library and Museum. The Hall of Fame honors legendary Alabama musicians and composers, while the Library and Museum honors native daughter and humanitarian, Helen Keller. Other landmarks include the Rattlesnake Saloon, a local watering hole that serves up delicious beer, food, and friendly conversation. Tuscumbia also offers plenty of unique recreational opportunities. Visitors and photographers alike will enjoy the sprawling Richard Martin Trail, which follows the Tennessee River for over 37 miles. The trail passes through rural, wooded areas and offers outstanding views of Tuscumbia, Muscle Shoals, and surrounding mountain ridges. Further downriver is the Western Sauty Nature Preserve, which is home to hundreds of plant and animal species, and is open for exploration.
