Trona Rd

Trona Rd is a scenic drive located in the Searles Valley, California, United States. It runs from the northern city limits of Trona to State Route 178 just south of the Searles Dry Lake. Along the road you will pass by the sublime Alvord Mountain, Ophir Mountain and Red Mountain. You can admire the beautiful and unique views of the desert-like landscape that you will not find anywhere else. The fascinating views can only be seen from the road, so make sure to make regular stops to take it all in. There is plenty of wildlife around the area, so keep your eyes peeled for jackrabbits, coyotes and birds of prey. Keep in mind that this is a very remote area, so there are no services or facilities nearby and it doesn't have a marked path. If you decide to stop and explore the area, always be aware of your surroundings and check your maps before heading off on your adventure.
