Signal Hill

Signal Hill is one of the most spectacular sights of Cape Town, South Africa. Located in the cape of the same name, Signal Hill is a flat-topped hill which is the link between the city's central business district and the picturesque Table Mountain, the iconic centerpiece of Cape Town.

A popular viewpoint for visitors to Cape Town, Signal Hill offers a great lookout over the city and Table Mountain from its flat top. Pristine views over the city centre, the nearby beaches and with Table Mountain always in the background make it a very popular spot, especially at night when the lights of the city twinkle and fade in the distance. There are plenty of things to do on Signal Hill. Depending on the season, visitors can hike up the hill for a half-day tour and take in the views, or you can take a leisurely stroll around the summit area and take in the stunning coastal views. Visitors can also take a few moments to visit one of South Africa's famous landmarks, the Lion's Rump. Here a massive boulder is perched on the edge of the cliff, offering breathtaking views of Cape Town and the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can also take a cable car to the top of the hill, which is an exciting way to experience the sights and sounds of the city. Along the way, travellers can stop at one of the many restaurants and cafes, to enjoy some local dishes while taking in the breathtaking views.
