Sandiaoling Falls Trailhead

The Sandiaoling Falls Trailhead in the Ruifang District of Taiwan is an exciting and rewarding hike, popular amongst experienced hikers, nature-lovers and wanderlusters seeking to explore the stunning beauty of Taiwan's countryside.

Visitors to the trailhead will feel removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, surrounded by lush greenery, fresh air and the calming sound of a rushing stream that trails along the path. The journey begins at a small carpark alongside the cascading Sandiaoling Shen Falls. From here, the route takes guests through winding pathways filled with bamboo groves, hidden pools and quaint wooden bridges, before leading up over steep rocky steps to the heart of the trail, where a viewing platform offers magnificent views of the cascading falls and the surrounding mountain range. The trail may take up to 4 hours at a leisurely pace. Visitors should come adequately prepared with appropriate clothing and sturdy, waterproof footwear. There is a cafe at the trailhead and restrooms nearby, however, it may be advisable to bring snacks and water with you for your adventure!
