Runyon Canyon Park

Runyon Canyon Park is a 160-acre park in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California. It offers hiking trails, dog-friendly areas, and stunning views of the city. The park can be reached by taking a steep road from Franklin Avenue or from Fuller Ave at the Hollywood Bowl. The popular hiking trails cover a three-mile loop with varying levels of difficulty. Dogs are allowed off-leash in the designated lower Runyon Canyon Dog Park. The higher trails are more challenging and feature breathtaking views of downtown Los Angeles, the Pacific Ocean, and the San Gabriel Mountains. Once you reach the top of the trails, the Rockface - a small clearing with various benches and a fire circle - is available. For some of the best views, take a seated position on the facing rocks. It is advisable to bring at least one bottle of water to stay hydrated while hiking in the park.
