Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, located at the tip of Mackinaw City, Michigan, has been a personal favorite of tourists and photographers since its construction back in 1892. With its unique blend of limestone and timber, the stately tower stands a tall 48’ above the bedrock of Mackinac Island and is a sight to behold! The lighthouse offers breathtaking views of the crystal-blue Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinac Bridge in the distance. During the summer months, visitors have the pleasure of enjoying the interactive exhibits of the lighthouse’s history and visiting its museum. Parking is available right in front of the lighthouse and admission is free, making it a great place to spend your day in Mackinaw City!
