Nevada Fall in Yosemite Valley, California is one of the most spectacular attractions amongst Yosemite’s many waterfalls. The fall is 594 feet tall and is comprised of two sections, with the upper section plunging over a sheer granite face. This powerful waterfall pours into a wide pool at the base of Vernal Fall, which continues to flow further in Yosemite Valley. Nevada Fall is hydrated by theMerced River and is best enjoyed in spring and autumn, when the water is at its fullest. Hikers looking for something special will delight in the Mist Trail, which winds its way around the waterfall’s base, offering up close views and slippery, wet waterfalls. A safe experience here should not be overlooked, and respectful visitors will want to stay on the path and take care to not harm the environment.
