The Munich Olympic Stadium, in München, Germany, was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics and is situated in the Olympiapark. This stadium was the site of the opening and closing ceremonies of those Games, and also hosted many of the Olympic events. After the Olympics, it hosted the 1974 FIFA World Cup Final. It has a capacity of 66,000 and is known for its unique vaulted roof. The stadium is also home to FC Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 Munich. Visitors can take an official guided tour of the stadium, explore its facilities and also climb up to its top and get an amazing view of the Olympic Park. The stadium is accessible by the public transportation and is worth a visit if you are in the city.
