Monument to Lenin

Monument to Lenin is a large bronze statue situated in the city centre of Moskva, Russia. It stands 81 metres (266 feet) tall, with its sculptor being Yevgeny Vuchetich. This monument is significant due to Lenin’s numerous contributions to the USSR, making this monument the most impressive statue dedicated to him in the entire city. There are in fact several other monuments dedicated to him throughout Russia.

The monument to Lenin is surrounded by several figures that share the same significance as him, each holding a rally sign, making them seem to be personally selected by Lenin himself. Apart from the impressive statue, there are also other attractions connected to this monument, such as monuments dedicated to aviation, science and literature as well as a mausoleum, also dedicated to Lenin, which can be found nearby. At the base of the Monument to Lenin, many locals often visit the monument to have their photographs taken; some are even fortunate enough to be allowed to stand alongside the figure of Lenin for a photo opportunity.
