Lincoln County

Lincoln County is located in the US state of Nevada. It is bordered by Nye County to the east, White Pine County to the north, and Esmeralda County to the south. The county seat is Pioche, while the largest city is Caliente. Lincoln County is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with dramatic mountain ranges, deep canyons, wild rivers and sweeping deserts. The area is home to more than 4,279 square miles of breathtaking landscape, ranging from rapidly changing deserts to lush meadows, steep canyons, and tall limestone cliffs. Out in the desert, you can explore historical ghost towns that are a part of Nevada’s mining past, or head out of town for some epic off-roading or camping. Lincoln County also offers numerous recreational activities including hunting, hiking, horseback riding and off-roading. Besides exploring the scenic land, travelers and photographers can also take a dip in the hot springs of Pioche or Caliente, or marvel at the local flora and fauna.
