Le Centre Pompidou

Le Centre Pompidou and Place Georges Pompidou is a modern architectural complex in the centre of Paris, France. The Centre consists of four elements; the Public Information Library, the Musée National d’Art Moderne, The Museum of Industrial Creation and the Stravinsky Fountain, all open to the public. The Place Georges Pompidou was developed in 1971 and is recognised as one of the first public plazas in the world. It is also a popular gathering point for locals as well as tourists. Here, you will find an underground mall, known as ‘les Halles’, a concert hall, cinemas and the Centres for music, theatre and dance. Marseille and its surrounding areas have recently been refurbished and it's here that you can enjoy beautiful views of the city. The Place Georges Pompidou houses art exhibitions, and it is home to the highly renowned square Beaubourg, a spectacular fountain surrounded by a metal structure. A visit to Centre Pompidou is definitely a ‘must-do’ on any trip to Paris!
