Humber Bridge

Humber Bridge is a grade 1 listed road bridge crossing the Humber, connecting Barton-upon-Humber and Hessle. This 2.22 km suspension bridge is the fourth longest in the world and was opened in 1981. Visitors can explore the bridge by foot or cycle, with the north and south side of the bridge providing different perspectives to admire.

The south side, near Hessle, is home to the Humber Bridge Country Park: an area of striking natural beauty. Local events and wildflower walks are often organised in the park, providing interesting activities for visitors. On the north side, nearby Barton-upon-Humber, is the Humber Bridge Viewpoint Centre. Here, visitors can learn all about the bridge's history and also enjoy the beautiful views of the bridge in the viewpoint. In addition to its architecture, the Humber Bridge is also a popular spot for birdwatchers, as many species of birds, including migratory birds, can be spotted here.
