Giza Piramits - Keops, Kefren, Mikerinos

The Giza pyramids are one of the oldest and most impressive both man-made monuments in the world. Located in the Al Giza desert, on the outskirts of Cairo, the ancient ‘City of the Dead’ is home to the three Great Pyramids (Keops, Kefren, and Mikerinos), the Sphinx, and various ancient tombs and mastabas. Take a tour of the site, explore the desert itself, or take part in a sound and light show. Even without a tour, there’s plenty to explore, from the ancient necropolis and tombs to the three pyramids themselves, all of which are impressive feats of engineering and architecture. Don’t forget to stop by the Sphinx, one of the oldest stone statues in the world. Giza is a great destination for photographers and history lovers, but it can be quite hot, so don’t forget to bring sun protection and lots of water.
