Esplanade

Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay is a performing arts center located in the Marina Bay area of Singapore. It is made up of a mobile theatre, concert hall, theatre, recital studio, library, and a component of a shopping complex. It was inaugurated in 2002 as a national icon building and is also known as "The Durian" due to its resemblance to the tropical fruit. The exterior of the building is a distinctive and iconic structure with its roof resembling a durian fruit shape and its glass and steel façade that is reflective of the city's skyline. Inside, it houses a range of art galleries, theatres, restaurants, shops and a library.
