El Arco de Santa Catalina

El Arco de Santa Catalina is a lovely yellow arch in Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala. The arch was built in the 18th century and is made of adobe and stone. The arch leads to the courtyard of the Santa Catalina convent, which was also built in the 18th century and has a unique collection of statuary and mosaics. There are several viewpoints around the arch, including in front of the arch itself, which provide great photo opportunities of the arch. It's a very popular spot for tourists and photographers, so it can get quite busy. The surrounding area of Antigua Guatemala is also full of interesting sights, including colorful markets, old churches, and impressive views of the surrounding volcanoes.
