It is the highest point in the range, standing at 8,862ft (2,705m). It allows for magnificent views of the entire surrounding area, making it a popular hiking, climbing and photography destination. The trail head starts at Icehouse Canyon and covers the 5.4-mile (8.7km) round trip, gaining 3,500ft (1,067m) in elevation. The trail is mainly a rigorous climb, but you should still take your time and appreciate the spectacular views. Along the way, you will pass beeches, manzanita and Jeffrey pine. Near the top, you will be able to find patches of Coulter pine and white fir trees.
