The Brandenburg Gate is the iconic symbol of Berlin and of Germany. This 18th century neoclassical triumphal arch stands at the western end of the city's grand avenue "Unter den Linden." The Quadriga sculpture of a chariot drawn by four horses, located atop the arch, symbolizes the power of peace.
