Blackfriars Bridge

Blackfriars Bridge is a Victorian period bridge located in the Greater London, United Kingdom. It spans the River Thames, connecting the City of London and Southwark. This bridge is notable for its elegant cast iron design and nine ornamental piers that were built between 1869 and 1884. It was painted black to give the bridge the nickname ‘Blackfriars Bridge’ and it is the only surviving bridge of its style. There are lots of bike lanes which make it a wonderful place to walk or cycle over the River Thames. You are welcome to take photos of the bridge as it offers unique and mesmerizing views of the river and its surroundings. You can also enjoy the boats and ships passing underneath. The bridge is located near the Blackfriars Theatre, which is worth a visit too!
