Alexandra Bridge

The Alexandra Bridge is a historic 1877 steel pin-connected swing-span railway bridge located in Ottawa, Canada. It joins the two parts of the city, linking Quebec and Ontario over the Ottawa River. The grand bridge has a length of 322 m (1,056 ft) and a width of 4.3 m (14 ft). It is decorated in many lights and open to pedestrians and cyclists alike. The bridge offers superb views of Parliament Hill, Chaudiere Falls, Gatineau Hills and central Ottawa. From the bridge you can admire the sunsets and admire the reflections of the city lights on the water. Visitors can enjoy a circular walk spanning the bridge, taking in the vibrant culture and the wonderful natural beauty of the Ottawa River.
