Air Force Memorial

The Air Force Memorial is a memorial that honors American Airmen and women, who have served and sacrificed their lives for their country. The memorial stands at the highest point in Arlington, Virginia and provides a panoramic view of the Pentagon, Washington Monument and U.S. Capitol. It features three stainless steel spires that reach up to 400 feet and represent the Air Force core values: integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The 273 inscribed granite scroll walls are a tribute to those who have served, and the 398 honor wreaths pay tribute to their deeds. The memorial also honors the pioneers in military aviation and the advances they achieved before and during World War II. There are also public programs at the memorial and visitors may take a self-guided tour.
