The Zuidhavenpoort in Zierikzee, Netherlands is one of the original gates built as part of the city's old fortifications. Constructed in 1626, it marks the entrance to the old harbor and is a prized tourist destination. The gate is made up of two fortified towers connected by a bridge, with a drawbridge in between that still remains in use today. Visitors can walk through the gate to take in the beautiful views of the harbor and some of the old buildings in the area. The nearby Maasburg Tower gives visitors a great perspective of the old city. You can also find many restaurants and markets in the area, making the Zuidhavenpoort a great place to explore and relax.
