The Zentraler Omnibus Bahnhof (ZOB) in München is the city's main long-distance coach terminal, located on Arnulfstraße near the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the Hackerbrücke area. Its interest is less in ornament than in urban function: rows of sheltered platforms, illuminated signage and a constant rotation of articulated coaches create a choreographed, industrial rhythm that contrasts with the nearby historic station and glass office blocks. For photographers, the site offers strong leading lines from canopies and lanes, bold silhouettes of buses against evening sky, glossy pavement reflections after rain, and human-scale moments of arrivals and departures; the lighting transitions from harsh midday shadows to graphic nocturnal backlighting make for distinct visual moods. Respect typical transit etiquette: platforms are active transport zones.
