Zifeng Tower rises near Gulou Square in central Nanjing, close to the city’s historic Drum Tower. The 450-metre skyscraper houses offices, a hotel and shops, and its tapering glass facade ends in a slender spire. Seen across Xuanwu Lake, it stands apart from the lower cityscape, bringing Nanjing’s contemporary skyline into the same view as one of its best-known landscapes.
