📍 China
The Central Radio & Television Tower rises 405 metres above western Beijing, beside the West Third Ring Road and near Yuyuantan Park in Haidian District. Completed in 1992, it functions as a broadcasting tower and is distinct from CCTV Headquarters in the eastern business district. Its recognizable profile combines a narrow concrete shaft, a broad observation and transmission pod, and a long antenna spire, making it a useful visual marker on Beijing’s otherwise expansive skyline. Views from the upper public levels reveal the city’s vast scale, while photographs from Yuyuantan Park can place the tower behind lake water, trees, and spring cherry blossoms, contrasting engineered verticality with one of the capital’s best-known landscaped settings.
