The Yost Theater in Santa Ana, United States, is a historically significant theatre built in 1912 as a vaudeville house and play house. It is considered one of the oldest still operating movie houses in Orange County, and is the only one left in Santa Ana. For many years the theater hosted a wide range of performances and events, but it eventually closed in 1971 due to financial struggles. In 1994, it was renovated and reopened, and now houses a wide range of events, from live music and shows to seminars and church services. It also serves as a venue for special events such as art and film festivals, workshops, conventions and more. The theater features numerous architectural details, including original wrought iron gates, Spanish-style tile, ornate neoclassical lobby and custom light fixtures, which help to add to its beauty.
