Yosemite Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in North America and perhaps the most famous of all the waterfalls in Yosemite National Park. Located in central eastern California's Mariposa County, Yosemite Falls is an awe-inspiring sight, cascading 2,425 feet (739 meters) down in three tiers. The upper falls, a free-falling drop of 1,430 feet (436 meters) is one of the highest falls in the world and the 5th tallest waterfall in the US. The waterfalls of Yosemite have become the images of beauty associated with the National Park and have lured many photographers and sight-seekers over the years. Amidst the impressive beauty of the landscape, the falls provide the perfect foreground. The majestic Yosemite Falls is easily the most popular attraction in Yosemite, and for good reason.
