
Yates Mill Gristmill in Raleigh, United States is a historic mill built in 1756 for the Yates family. The four-story foundation structure made of brick with a wooden superstructure was built in a traditional style, and is a unique example of 18th century industrial architecture. The site is an iconic landmark in Raleigh, and features a waterwheel, pond, and park trails. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the gristmill which has been carefully preserved, and visitors are welcome to take a self-guided tour of the site to learn about its history. There is also a visitor center, as well as an impressive observation tower, which provides spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The park provides plenty of activities, from bird watching to fishing, to picnics and more. As the location is open daily, visitors can easily visit during most any time of the year.
