Wreck of the Peter Iredale
📍 United States
The Wreck of the Peter Iredale is a famous shipwreck located on the Oregon Coast at Warrenton, United States. In 1906, the 4-masted steel barque, carrying British-made steel, ran aground on the Oregon coastline while attempting to enter the Columbia River Bar. Today, the remaining skeleton of the vessel is a popular tourist destination and a photographer's dream. Situated just free of the ocean's reach, visitors can explore the rusting hull and unique, iconic structure set against spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. It is accessed off a small access road near Fort Stevens State Park, just north of Warrenton.
