
Winnats Pass Route is a stunning geological wonder right in the heart of the Peak District, located in the Derbyshire region of England. It's a popular spot for area walkers and offers 360 degree views of incredible limestone cliffs, lush rolling hillsides and beautiful pastures, all woven together in a tapestry of colours. Winnats Pass is best accessed from the village of Castleton which is less than a 10 minute drive down the hill from Winnats Pass. The walk itself takes about an hour and is best enjoyed in the peak of the summer months when the landscape is more vibrant. Take your time, as the route is relatively easy, it's perfect for novice hikers. The walk gives you plentiful chances for picturesque views. Keep an eye out for the old entrance to the Winnats Mine, located just off the route to the right.
