Whyte Islet Park centres on a small rocky islet just offshore from Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver, near Horseshoe Bay. Set against the mountain slopes of Howe Sound, the islet gives the shoreline a distinctive silhouette of pale rock and dark trees. At low tide, a narrow strip of beach connects it to the mainland; rising water covers that link, changing both the composition of the scene and whether the islet can be reached on foot.
