Westerkerk is one of the most prominent landmarks in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is a Reformed church that was completed in 1631 in the Dutch Renaissance style. The church is renowned for its high tower, which stands at a height of 75 metres and is the highest church in Amsterdam. Its clock tower has four clock faces, which were installed in 1636 – making it the oldest functioning clock of the country. The tower is a part of the skyline of Amsterdam and offers beautiful views of the city. Westerkerk is also an important monument in the city's history as it is the final resting place of Dutch master painter Rembrandt, who was buried here in 1669. Visitors can explore the church's interiors and admire its beauty which includes its beautiful stained glass windows, mosaic flooring and symbolic sculptures. Even though no photography is allowed inside the church, travelers and photographers can still take pictures of the outside part of the building and its picturesque surroundings.
