The Water Tower in Chicago is a much-loved historical landmark located in the vibrant neighborhood of Magnificent Mile. Built in 1869, the tall, red stone tower is the only surviving structure from the great fire of 1871. It is also a lasting symbol of the great city of Chicago and its history. Inside, it houses a gallery of art, photography and historic exhibits. Outside, the iconic structure offers beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago cityscape. While you’re there, be sure to visit the nearby attractions of Oak Street Beach, John Hancock Center, and the Navy Pier.
