Utrecht's water tower, located on the Biltstraat in the Oost district of the city, is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the area. The cylindrical tower stands 16.5 meters tall and has been a part of the city since the late 19th century. The tower was built to supply water to the densely populated city, and has gone on to become one of Utrecht’s most cherished symbols.
