The Wasserturm Mannheim is a historic water tower in the heart of Mannheim, Germany. Built in 1888, the tower stands an impressive 40 meters tall and is made of red sandstone. It is situated in the Wasserturmplatz and overlooks the city's main shopping area, Quadratestadt. Inside the water tower is a staircase that leads to a viewing platform at the top, which provides a stunning view of the city. The tower is also a popular meeting point and tourist attraction. In 1971, the Wasserturm was declared a protected building and is now an official historical monument. Aside from its astounding view, the tower also houses several artwork pieces and hosts various events and exhibitions.
