The Waltershofer Hafen and Waltershofer Damm are unique locations in Hamburg, Germany, that offer photo opportunities for the adventurous traveler. Located just south of Hamburg's inner city, the Waltershofer Hafen is a former industrial harbor and is currently in the process of being redeveloped. It is very popular amongst amateur photographers, and offers some amazing views of the Elbe river and the city skyline. The Waltershofer Damm is located just north of Waltershofer Hafen, and is home to an old, tall shipyard crane. This iconic structure makes for a great foreground for photos. The area also provides great perspectives of the inner city and is easily accessible by bike, foot or train.
