Vlora Old Town is the compact historic quarter around cobbled Justin Godard Street, set inland from the city’s modern seafront. Its restored low-rise buildings, painted façades, wooden shutters and café-lined lanes preserve the scale of an older commercial neighborhood. Nearby, the slender minaret and stonework of the 16th-century Muradie Mosque add an Ottoman landmark to the streetscape, while Flag Square connects the district with Vlora’s central role in Albania’s 1912 declaration of independence. The most distinctive images come from the contrast between textured paving, warm-colored façades and glimpses of the minaret above the rooftops.
