📍 From Inside, Lithuania
Vilnius Cathedral stands on Cathedral Square at the foot of Gediminas Hill, beside the former seat of Lithuania’s grand dukes. Dedicated to Saints Stanislaus and Ladislaus, it has long been central to Lithuanian Catholic life: grand dukes were crowned here, and royal and ducal tombs lie beneath the church. Its broad Neoclassical façade and columned portico face the open square, while the freestanding bell tower gives the scene a distinctive silhouette. Inside, the richly decorated Chapel of St Casimir contrasts with the restrained exterior; above the square, Gediminas Castle Tower marks the hill beyond.
