Villa Fogazzaro Roi

Villa Fogazzaro Roi is located in two communes: Albogasio-Oria and Orero, Lombardy, Italy. This stunning Neo-Gothic style villa was designed by the prolific architect Carlo Maciachini in 1872. Although designed originally as a residential building, it is now used as a museum dedicated to the memory of Antonio Fogazzaro, an Italian novelist and poet. The interior of the building is decorated with a rich decor, such as the ceiling frescoes from the 19th century, furniture from the Gothic period, rare fabrics and carpets. While inside, visitors can also explore the newspaper of Fogazzaro, as well as some of his manuscripts. Outside, the park is home to a variety of trees, plants and flowers, with a spectacular view of the Lago d’Isvello. The gardens are also equipped with a large terrace, ideal for picnics and walks.
