
Villa del Balbianello is a magnificent 18th century villa in Lenno, Italy, which was featured in the James Bond movie “Casino Royale”. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and once belonged to the explorer and travel writer, Guido Monzino. Today, the villa hosts a number of art collection, including archaeological finds, and it is well-preserved. The grounds of the villa are breathtaking, with terraced gardens overlooking Lake Como, a manicured English lawn, a Japanese garden, and a pool with a Venetian gondola. Visitors can explore the villa, except for certain parts of the villa which are off-limits to the public. There is a museum on site, which displays a collection of paintings, furniture, and objects from the former owner.
