📍 Norway
Viking Valley, known as Njardarheimr, is a recreated Viking Age village in Gudvangen, at the head of Norway’s Nærøyfjord. Its timber buildings and historical interpreters bring traditional crafts and aspects of daily life into view; this is a living-history setting, not an excavated settlement. The steep mountain walls behind the village give its wooden halls and craft scenes a distinctly local backdrop, linking the interpretation of Norse life to the fjord landscape around it.
