Vik Beach is located in Vestvågøy, Norway and is an incredibly picturesque landmark. On the outskirts of the small village of Husøy, the beach is surrounded by high mountains, giving it an almost magical feeling. The bright white sandy beach contrasts beautifully against the black lava rocks that line the shore. The ocean waters are a deep blue-green, and often the waves crash against the tall cliffs. Walking the shore, along with awesome views of the beach from above, provides numerous photo opportunities. Additionally, there are two large wrecks, the Vøringsfossen and the Lofoten, from a storm that occurred in 1978. The contrast of natural beauty and haunting reminders of tragedy gives the beach a unique atmosphere. Vik Beach provides stunning vistas and a wealth of photo ops for any traveler or photographer looking for a unique experience.
