📍 Austria
Seidlwinkltal is a high Alpine side valley of the Rauris Valley in Salzburg’s Zell am See district, within Hohe Tauern National Park. Its long corridor once formed part of a transalpine route used by traders and pack animals crossing the Tauern, a history reflected in traditional mountain inns and pasture buildings. Views typically layer rushing streams, waterfalls and green grazing slopes beneath steep, often snow-streaked peaks. The valley’s scale is especially clear where the open meadows draw the eye toward the narrowing head of the valley, while grazing livestock and weathered timber huts add a lived-in cultural dimension to the mountain landscape.
