📍 Austria
Gramais is a small mountain village in a side valley of the Lech Valley in western Tyrol, surrounded by the Lechtal Alps. Part of the Northern Limestone Alps, this range is defined by rugged limestone summits, steep slopes and high alpine basins. Around Gramais, forested valley sides give way to grassland, scree and exposed rock, creating distinct bands of color and texture. Views that include the village’s houses and meadows make the scale of the surrounding mountains especially clear, placing the inhabited valley floor beneath a sharply rising alpine skyline.
