📍 Denmark
From the viewing platform of the Round Tower (Rundetaarn), Copenhagen’s historic center spreads out as a patchwork of red-tiled roofs, narrow streets and green copper spires. The tower is a 17th-century observatory commissioned by Christian IV and part of the Trinitatis complex, which also includes a church and a former university library. Its broad spiral ramp leads to a circular terrace, where the view reveals the close-packed scale of the old city from every direction.
