The Székely Hussars Memorial in Budapest recalls a cavalry tradition associated with the Székely, a Hungarian-speaking community rooted in Transylvania. From the viewpoint, the monument gives the city panorama a historical foreground: a place of remembrance set against the contemporary capital, linking Budapest to a history that extends beyond Hungary’s present borders.
