Punta Sur is the rocky southern tip of Isla Mujeres, just off the coast of Cancún. Its limestone headland overlooks open Caribbean water on one side and the channel toward the mainland on the other. Paths run above low cliffs where waves break against pale rock, creating a sharp contrast with the turquoise sea. Outdoor sculptures and the remains of a small Maya structure add a human scale to the wide horizon.
