📍 Italy
Views from Piz Boè unfold from the 3,152-metre summit of the Sella Group, above Arabba in the Province of Belluno and close to the borders with South Tyrol and Trentino. The panorama reveals the distinctive geography of the central Dolomites: the broad, pale limestone terraces of the Sella plateau drop toward deep valleys, while the Marmolada, Sassolungo, Tofane and other jagged massifs layer the horizon. Capanna Fassa, the small refuge beside the summit, adds a vivid human scale to the exposed rock. Clear conditions bring crisp textures and long sightlines; shifting cloud often creates alternating bands of light and shadow across the cliffs and valleys.
