The Passerella Panoramica di Cardada is a viewing walkway on Cardada, the wooded mountain terrace above Locarno and Orselina. Extending toward the slope, it opens a high, layered panorama across Locarno, Ascona and the broad northern basin of Lake Maggiore, with the Maggia delta clearly shaping the shoreline below. The scene is especially recognizable for its contrast of nearby conifers, densely settled lakeside towns, blue water and successive Alpine ridges fading into the distance. The walkway’s clean geometry also creates strong leading lines toward the lake and mountains. Cardada is reached by cable car from Orselina, above Locarno.
